Meditations on the Heart Chakra ...

Modern lifestyle has high exposure to insecurity, anger, hate, fear and other such emotions. These emotions have strong tendencies to spread quickly and leave impressions strong enough to create insecure individuals and an unstable society.

Meditation helps an individual overcome these emotions. It is a self healing process and is one of the best methods to bring about transformation by recognizing and nurturing the natural qualities of love, peace and happiness inherent within us. It is universal, transcending all divides like religion, country and culture.

Join us this Sunday, Sept 16, 2012 to know more about such techniques at Millennium Towers Federation Hall, inside shopping complex of Millennium Towers, Sector 9, Sanpada, Navi Mumbai.

Time: 11am to 12.30 noon

Gratitude to the Guru

नमस्तस्मै सदैकस्मै कस्मैचिन्महस्मै नमः |
यदेत द्विश्वरुपेन राजते गुरुराजते ||

"Salutations to you O Prince among Teachers, who are indefinable greatness, who are ever the same, who manifest as this entire universe. To you my salutations."

That one infinite Reality which is the same everywhere, which has come in the form of the Guru, to that my 'namaskaras'. O teacher, who revel in the form of the Vishvarupa, my prostrations. These are words of adoration, expressions of a students' gratitude to the Teacher who has initiated her into the science of Reality.

An Inner Journey Through The Seven Chakras

A meditation session on the Seven Chakras was held in Shanishwara temple, Nerul on April 8, 2012. This comprehensive guided meditation to harmonizing the Chakras with music, colors and breathing techniques was well attended by people in Navi Mumbai. Purpose was to help understand the capabilities hidden in our innermost being, to realize the full potential for happiness and creativity.

“It was a beautiful experience; I was lost in the world of colors and the amazing music. I surely look forward to similar experiences with Vasudhaji in the future” said Dr. Sangita Bansode, one of the participants.

“It was a feeling of complete bliss and fulfillment. My energy levels were high and I carried a feeling of positivity throughout the day.” commented Ms. Girija Shankar , one who has been regularly following Acharya Vasudhaji’s discourses.

“A truly peaceful and invigorating experience. Peace amidst chaos” voiced Ms. Beena Nair, a participant from Sanpada.

Shri Dakshinamurthy

चित्रं वटतरोर्मुले वृद्धशिष्या गुरुर्युवा |
गुरोस्तु मौनं व्याख्यानं शिष्यास्तु छिन्नसंशयाः ||

Chitram vatatharormule vruddhashishyaa gururyuvaah |
Gurostu maunam  vyaakhyanam shishyaastu chinnasamshayah ||

Behold under the Banyan are seated the aged disciples around and about their youthful teacher. It is wondrous indeed: the teacher instructs through silence, which in itself removes all the doubts arising in the disciples minds.

Shri Dakshinamurthy is a form of Lord Shiva. He teaches in silence (and yet) the students are freed from all doubts (about the Truth). Teaching imparted in Silence has traditiionally been regarded as the best method to reveal the truth of Atman (The Self) which is all pervading Reality.

Panchdashi - Swami Vidyaranya

न  जातु  कामः  कामानामुपभोगेन  शाम्यति  |
हविषा  कृष्णवर्त्मेव  भूय  एवामिवर्धते  ||
na jatu kamah kamanamupabhogena shamyati |
havisha krushnavartmeva bhuya evamivardhate ||

Desires are never quelled by enjoyment but increase more like the flame of a fire fed on clarified butter.

परिग्यायोपभुक्तो हि भोगो भवति तुष्टये |
विग्न्याय सेवितश्चोरो मैत्रीमेति न चोरतां ||
parignyayopabhukta hi bhogo bhavati tushtaye |
vignaya sevitaschoro maitrimeti na chortaam ||

But when the impermanence of pleasure is known, the gratification of desire may bring the idea of "enough of it". It is like a thief who having been employed knowingly in service does not behave like a thief but like a friend.
